Nā Palapalai's highly anticipated new album, Ha'a!

Free download available, see below!

2012 brings us to our newest release, HA'A. It is a tribute to our fans whom have somehow, Mahalo Ke Akua, become a Hawaiian music army, worldwide. Your unwavering support humbles us every day. We also dedicate this to all the hula dancers around the world, in countries we could have never dreamed of. It is for you that we sing.

We Aloha you all. The shy, keiki hula, the serious competition hula dancers, the ones who kaholo when they clean their hale. It is for you that we sing.

If you Kalākaua in the shower, we bid Aloha to you. Mahalo to the Aunties dancing hula in the front row with a beer in one hand and smoke meat in the other. It is for you that we sing.

We most humbly offer you, HA‘A. Now get up and dance.

English Rose
$12.98
As many have come to know, Kūpaoa means “filled with sweet and heady fragrance.” Lihau Hannahs and Kellen Paik personified that name when their interwoven voices brought a new, fresh essence into the music field.

English Rose conjures up the image of a fresh, voluptuous flower blossoming out from old rootstock. It’s an apt reflection, as each song unfolds like its own petal of a larger bloom. Most are new originals, but with the familiar depth of an older lyrical and musical foundation. There are traditional favorites spiced with lively twists, and English songs, both light and loving. Each piece, each petal makes the collection bloom bigger and brighter. Learn More

I Know You By Heart
$12.98
Kupaoa - a permeating fragrance that infuses the heart. Nearly 10 years ago, Hawaiian music’s only married duet chose that name, hoping their music would similarly imbue the hearts of listeners everywhere. The metaphor proved an apt one, as their music has indeed lingered with a growing local and international fan base. The award-winning duo released full-length albums worldwide in 2008, 2010 and March of 2013, each of them building on the prior release and together producing an anthology of unique acoustic arrangements and memorable original compositions.

Every song that Küpaoa records has a story and this collection includes 7 of the pair’s most poignant and cherished pieces. Many of these carefully chosen gems are never-before recorded originals with the notable exception of the title track, I Know You By Heart. The remaining songs were either penned by the couple or by close friends, including multi-award winning composer, Dr. Puakea Nogelmeier. As Küpaoa has matured, the intimacy shared in their music has deepened. They have blossomed, sharing more of their essence through song and story while allowing their music to become a reflection of themselves. They invite you into their lives with their debut EP, I Know You By Heart.

`A

Natalie Ai Kamauu's third CD is filled with her signature soaring vocals and heartfelt delivery of classic Hawaiian mele, along with two new beautiful compositions. A bonus track of "Sanoe" accompanied by a full orchestra will WOW you.

From the artist:

`Ā — to sparkle like a gem……

”`Ā” means to sparkle, like a gem. Iʻm not gonna lie…I love the bling. It makes me sing! Thatʻs not why I named this project “`Ā”. For my first recording endeavor, I wanted a name that would catch a few eyes and turn a few heads, hoping to lure a few ears. “`Ē” encompassed all of my feelings and emotions and so it was destiny. It truly was strange, weird and wonderful to say the least.

Hula Ku'i - GRAMMY® NOMINEE
$12.98
2014 Grammy® Nominee for Best Regional Roots Music Album

Raised on homestead land in Waimanalo, Lolena ‘Lena’ Naipo, Jr. goes back to his roots with his band Kahulanui in their first release, Hula Ku‘i. Kahulanui is an inspiration passed down from his grandfather Robert Kahulanui. Lolena remembers stories of his grandfather who was a member of the Royal Hawaiian Band during an era when horns and drums were a part of Hawaiian music. It was from these beginnings that he draws from for Hula Ku‘i. “Throughout Hawai‘i in the 20s and 30s, one could find orchestras playing Hawaiian Swing and the house would be jumping. Kahulanui borrowed from these influences and performed classic Hawaiian songs in a syncopated style making Hawaiian Swing vibrant and alive in Hawai‘i today. With musical influences from Uncle Alvin Kaleolani Isaac, Ray Kinney, Sam Koki, Lani McIntryre and even Spike Jones, I am excited for you to hear Kahulanui with the Kahulanui horn section. It’s Hawaiian Swing at its finest and with today’s technology and the magic of GRAMMY® award-winning engineer/producer Charles Michael Brotman, you have one of the most innovative releases to come out of the islands. You won’t be sitting for long once you hear Kahulanui’s Hula Ku‘i... ‘ami aku, ‘ami mai, ‘ami ‘ami malie…“ - Skylark Rossetti
