Maui On My Mind presents a vibrant array of new compositions for the island of Maui and its people by Grammy® Award Winner and Multiple Na- Ho-ku- Hanohano Award Winner Jeff Peterson.
Jeff draws on his roots from traditional slack key guitar then reaches far beyond to reveal the Maui of yesterday and today. From the Paniolo town of Makawao to the depths of the Pu’u Kukui rainforest in the West Maui Mountains, Maui is revealed in these solo instrumental guitar pieces. New arrangements of classic songs include Neil Young’s “Harvest Moon” and Glen Miller’s “In The Mood.” Seventeen songs highlight Jeff’s signature sound that combines innovative technique with traditional Hawaiian style and has allowed him to emerge as a leader among a new generation of slack key guitarists.
