IZ and his music continue to find new fans from near and far. Here's some recent news we wanted to share with you...

IZ’s Music Sweeping Across the World!

IZ's music is everywhere!

•IZ has just broken into the top 100 in Spain!

•Alone in IZ World has gone Gold in Belgium after reaching #1 on their radio and album sale charts. On the charts for 21 weeks!

•Double Platinum in France for Alone In IZ World, Gold for a double album of Facing Future and Alone In IZ World

•Platinum in Germany for Facing Future and Double Platinum for the Over the Rainbow single. The single is still the most downloaded single in the history of downloading in Germany! That's for all genres of music.

•Gold in Switzerland for Facing Future and single Over the Rainbow.

•Alone In IZ World was #1 in Portugal for 22 weeks!

•The Best Of album was released in Poland on June 10th... and is climbing!

•In Sweden, The Best Of album will be released on August 10th.

•In Mexico The Best Of album will release at the end of July/beginning of August.

•In New Zealand, The Best Of album is at #5 nationwide. We are very close to Gold status there.

•In Australia, we have just licensed Over the Rainbow to be in an episode of Australia's most successful TV show, Packed to the Rafters.

•Over the Rainbow is #1 on the UK's World music charts on iTunes!

•And finally, in the US, Over the Rainbow was heard on the National Mall in Washington DC during the 4th of July fireworks show!

IZ featured in NZZ Folio Magazine

As IZ has been sweeping across Europe with his hit "Over The Rainbow", it's no surprise that one of the best glossy magazines in Switzerland, NZZ Folio, devoted an entire issue to the song and features a few stories about IZ's success. IZ continues to climb the charts all over the world and this week his "Somewhere over the Rainbow - The Best of Israel Kamakawiwo'ole" album hit #5 in New Zealand! Also, for his second week in a row IZ's Somewhere Over the Rainbow/What a Wonderful World medley has hit #1 on Portugal's Digital Singles charts! Amazing!

We have been very excited about IZ's recent success in Europe, specifically in Germany where it all started. This past week, Germany hosted their ECHO Awards which is their equivalent to our Grammys. Our leader and CEO Jon de Mello flew to berlin to accept IZ's award for "Hit Song of the Year" for "Over the Rainbow" and even in his busy schedule took the time to send us some of his behind the scenes photos along with a link for his and the Kamakawiwo'ole family's acceptance speech.

  We are excited to announce that IZ has officially hit the mobile web with his new iPhone App! We have his app coming to the BlackBerry and the Android very soon so stay tuned for more updates! Get it here!

Israel "IZ" Kamakawiwo'ole breaks yet another record in Europe by beating our artist's like Lady Gaga, Katy Perry and Shakira in Germany's All Time Download Single Charts with 512,688 downloads!

You may have noticed we have been documenting Israel's success in Germany and we may have mentioned to stay tuned for more updates on Israel in Europe. Well, the week of December 20th, IZ' single "Over the Rainbow" was released in France and we are excited to announce that it also hit number 1! 

In more Europe news, the Single for "Over the Rainbow" was also released in the United Kingdom and is swiftly climbing the charts. 

If you were watching the ball drop in Times Square in person or on TV this past New Years Eve, you may have noticed that once again New Yorkers celebrated this New Years with many songs, including IZ's "Over the Rainbow".

Lastly, in our home country of the USA, our own Israel Kamakawiwo'ole was honored with the RIAA Platinum status for his single of (yup you guessed it), "Over the Rainbow" and Gold for his "Over the Rainbow/Wonderful World" Medley from his iconic album Alone in IZ World.
