Kainani Kahaunaele's award winning album

"I am honored for my songs to have been selected by my Hawaiian language peers to reflect and represent the integrity of our native tongue (Hawaiian Language Performance Award) and the intelligence and creativity of our kūpuna (Haku Mele Award)." - Kainani Kahaunaele, after winning two Hōkū Awards for her album 'Ōhai 'Ula. New Artists

Husband and wife duo, Paula & Vergel have just signed with Mountain Apple Company and are in the process of recording their first album! Here's a clip of them rehearsing one of their original songs at our studio.

This past Sunday was the 2011 Nā Hōkū Hanohano awards to highlight the best in Hawaiian music. We took a ton of photo's which we have below and we would also like to congratulate our winners!

You may or may not have heard that Raiatea is on the road and this week she is performing in Northern California. After performing in Lodi Saturday, tonight she is in Redwood City at The Fox Club, in Berkley tomorrow at the Freight and Savage then finishing off California in San Diego at Anthology. Long time Mountain Apple Company artist, Amy Hanaiali`i, accepts for Album of the Year at last years ceremony.
