After Robert's triumphant "Hula Is" show at the Hawaii Theatre on August 26th, here are a few thoughts from the Kumu about what Hula is to him....

hula is... thoughtful, jovial, fun-loving, game changing... hula is... gentle laughter bursting to guffaws crashing in tears... hula is... colors sweeping the air like falling confetti and infectious smiles know no boundaries... hula is... a captured room, swaying music and hearts finding solitude in old remembrances... hula is... girls swimming in blue white oceans with flowing trains, scented blossoms and abandoned euphoria... hula is... men incognito writing holidays on the air and lights playing musical chairs in the shadows... hula is... touching hearts and holding hands, one by one, in gratitude for doing, living, loving what we do... we of the DANCE kind... we of the HULA kind... we of the LIFE kind... may the force always be with us...

Jeff Peterson performed some of his award winning slack key originals as well as some jazz pieces!

Along with the music, there were also aerial dancers from Samadhi’s Hawaii, performing to the music.

There was a huge crowd that evening on the lawn of the Hawaii State Art museum! Be sure to check it out next First Friday!

•Double Platinum in France for Alone In IZ World, Gold for a double album of Facing Future and Alone In IZ World
•Platinum in Germany for Facing Future and Double Platinum for the Over the Rainbow single. The single is still the most downloaded single in the history of downloading in Germany! That's for all genres of music.
•Gold in Switzerland for Facing Future and single Over the Rainbow.
•Alone In IZ World was #1 in Portugal for 22 weeks!
•The Best Of album was released in Poland on June 10th... and is climbing!
•In Sweden, The Best Of album will be released on August 10th.
•In Mexico The Best Of album will release at the end of July/beginning of August.
•In New Zealand, The Best Of album is at #5 nationwide. We are very close to Gold status there.
•In Australia, we have just licensed Over the Rainbow to be in an episode of Australia's most successful TV show, Packed to the Rafters.

•And finally, in the US, Over the Rainbow was heard on the National Mall in Washington DC during the 4th of July fireworks show!

The Brothers Cazimero have had a busy few weeks entertaining fans at the Ruth B. Shannon Performing Arts Center, Bali Hai in San Diego and at the fabulous Kahilu Theatre in Waimea on Hawai`i island. The shows were so well received by all. Read comments from fans in San Diego who were seeing the Brothers in their neck of the woods for the first time in years.
