This past Sunday was the 2011 Nā Hōkū Hanohano awards to highlight the best in Hawaiian music. We took a ton of photo's which we have below and we would also like to congratulate our winners!

It's that time of the year, The Gathering of the Stars, where Hawaii's most innovative and influential artists and composers of the year shine in Hawaii's biggest night for music, "The Na Hoku Hanohano Awards."  Its the award ceremonies 34th year and is promised to be one of the most memorable yet.  The categories are full of talent-packed nominees, many from our very own Mountain Apple Company, and many more with hopes set on leaving their mark in Hawaiian music history.  Click on link provided for full listing of this years nominees and details of the upcoming event. 2011 Hoku Awards nominees announced – Honolulu, Hawaii Calendar of Events – Hawaii Entertainment

Long time Mountain Apple Company artist, Amy Hanaiali`i, accepts for Album of the Year at last years ceremony.

Donavon Frankenreiter and band mates, Matt Grundy & Kirk Smart stopped by The Mountain Apple Office for a quick visit on this Aloha Friday! We couldn't help but leave them with a few parting gifts...some hawaiian music classics of course. 

Their morning began at 4am with the KITV4 Morning Show. WATCH NOW & relive the early morning jam. 

Donavon & Matt just returned from hiking Mt. Fuji in Japan! They were taking part in a great event:Love Hope Strength foundation's "Mt. Fuji Rocks" benefit. Welcome back to the islands boys! Hope you get to recuperate & relax before rushing off to a new adventure.
