Twilight at Helumoa with Uncle Willie K

Uncle Willie K. was at Twilight at Helumoa in Waikiki over the weekend! His two year old daughter also got up on stage to perform. Here she is singing Bob Marley's "Three Little Birds". According to dad, besides Bob, she is a big fan of AC/DC and Ozzy Osbourne!
Ke Kani O Ke Kai with The Brothers Cazimero

The Brothers Cazimero, Robert & Roland, performed at what turned out to be the concert of the summer last night at the Waikiki Aquarium. Ke Kani O Ke Kai is always great, but with a full moon, a sold out house and two of Hawaii's great musicians and would be comedians, it was perfect!

Members of Robert's Halau Na Kamalei showed up to give us a hula performance!

Kuana Torres Kahele CD Release Party

Kuana Torres Kahele celebrated the release of his best selling solo album, Kaunaloa, yesterday. Fans, friends and ohana gathered at The Venue downtown to hear Kuana perform songs off the album, and more! Kuana had to catch a flight right after the show, so he performed his hana hou song in advance--but the crowd still wanted more, so he performed a SECOND one as well! A stellar night for a stellar album!

Special guest Gary Haleamau flew in all the way from Las Vegas to be Kuana's opening act! And Miss Aloha Hulas, Natasha Oda and Mahealani Mika Hirao-Solem danced to a few songs throughout the night!

Singer Darren Benitez was among the notable people in the audience. Some other familiar faces: photographer Kim Taylor Reese, stars of the hula world, Aunty Flo and Aunty Mapu (not pictured), and Marc Turner, Kuana's manager, with Shelley Coscina from Mountain Apple.

Here's a video wrap-up if you weren't able to make it! Featuring songs off Kaunaloa, 'Aina 'O Mioli'i, 'Ulili E, Palisa, and Keanakolu. If you haven't already, be sure to check out the album!
