Join Robert, Roland and `Ala, along with the Royal Dance Company, Halau Na Kamalei, Miss and Master Keiki Hula from the Lili`oukalani Keiki Hula Festival, and other guests as we celebrate the holidays as only we can in Hawai`i. Their musical talent, incredible showmanship and infectious humor have bridge cultural gaps that naturally exist with ethnic music and dance.  The aloha spirit that remains an integral part of their entertaining, whether live, on records or TV, is spreading throughout the global village and with it, a better world is possible.  

IZ Honored at Grammy® Museum
Grand Opening December 6th

Israel “IZ” Kamakawiwo’ole will be in the musical spotlight again! His ribbon Koa wood `ukulele custom crafted for IZ by Kamaka ‘Ukulele will be on loan for the opening of the GRAMMY Museum in December.  The museum will be “an exciting an interactive celebration of the power of music;” the opening will coincide with the 50th Anniversary of the GRAMMY Awards. The ‘ukulele is part of their display for at least 2 years.

12/3 KHET (PBS)

The 2008 Winter Pledge Drive will be hosted by Hawaii’s own Brother Noland and Tony Conjugacion on PBS Hawaii. PBS Hawaii, a non profit organization will be holding its annual pledge drive on Wednesday, December 3 and it is asking for your support so that they may continue broadcasting quality programming and educational services throughout the state.

Don’t miss Na Hoku Hanohano award-winner Kaumakaiwa on Friday 12/5 – Live on the Lawn at the Hawaii State Art Museum.  Join us for an evening filled with a powerful love of Hawaiian culture as Kaumakaiwa shares with you songs from his new album “Kaumakaiwa.”  This rare collection of music is the opportunity to experience the voice of Hawaii’s next generation.

In the spirit of giving, Hawaii comes together on Lokahi Day to give back to the community.  Donations of toys, food and monetary contributions will be collected on December 6th at various locations around Hawaii and distributed to needy families.  Come and display your Holiday Generosity with them on Maui and Oahu on Saturday December 6th.
